Logan Griffin (2nd Degree Black Belt)
Owner/Head Adult InstructorThe owner and head instructor of the adult class has been entrenched in jiu jitsu for the majority of his adult life. Initially, Logan started off as a wrestler, he then pursued MMA holding a 9-1 record. After competing MMA, Logan set his sights on achieving mastery in jiu jitsu. Having traveled across the nation as a colored belt, Logan found himself in San Diego training for his 2014 Pan American Championship under: Andre Galvao (15x World Champion), and the Mendes Brothers. Finally finding his home in Knoxville, Tennessee, training under the tutelage of Samuel Braga (11x World Champion). Here, he honed his skills for mindset and competition. Logan had a successful Purple Belt and Brown Belt career at the highest levels of competition and was promoted to Black Belt in 2018. Since then, he has put his efforts into being a full time coach, business owner of Bristol Jiu Jitsu, and Vision Athletics as well as real estate investing.

- His favorite hobbies include: mountain biking, playing guitar, video editing, and any/all extreme sports.
- He is also a new father and husband to a beautiful family.

Taylor Griffin (1st Degree Black Belt)
Black Belt Assistant Instructor
Taylor, alongside his twin brother, chose the path of Jiu-Jitsu. As siblings always should, Taylor stuck by Logan’s side traveling and competing around the nation. Taylor comes from a background of being a natural athlete in sports like basketball (as well as being the biggest Laker’s fan we’ve ever known). Together Logan and Taylor have trained thousands of hours keeping a full-time training regimen in Jiu-Jitsu. Now, Taylor pursues a career as a very successful financial advisor for Edward Jones while training consistently in his off time. He credits his work ethic from Jiu-Jitsu into a different field of work. Between the Griffin Twins there is over 30 years of experience.

- His favorite hobbies include: mountain biking, working out, and traveling.
- He is also a great comedian, keeping a smile on everyone’s faces.
- His favorite Jiu-Jitsu techniques are Spider Guard and Mount. Be careful, he loves to attack cheap submissions (wristlocks, smothers, flying triangles, and anything that constitutes an “easy victory”)
Tristan Pack (Brown Belt)
Head Kids Instructor/Assistant Adult Instructor
The head instructor of our Kid’s Program has been teaching martial arts of all types for over a decade. He initially started in Krav Maga, achieving a 2nd degree black belt, as well as wrestling in high school holding the varsity spot at 170lb. Seeking to improve his skills he started training Jiu-Jitsu under Samuel Braga (11x World Champion). After falling in love with Jiu-Jitsu he dedicated his life not only to competing around the country, but learning the philosophy behind this art. On a random training trip to Bristol Jiu-Jitsu he met his now wife, Kasey, during class. He decided to move from Knoxville to Bristol and make his home here. Earning his Brown Belt in 5 years, he seeks to bring his skill set to the youth of our community to empower them with the countless life lessons Jiu-Jitsu has to offer. Tristan is a full-time employee at Bristol Jiu-Jitsu and can be seen at the majority of classes throughout the week while training and assisting.
